PREMIUM MIX

A versatile blend for a wide range of gardening and landscaping applications. Made from approximately 75% composted organic matter and 25% sand by volume, it provides a fertile, well-structured growing medium with excellent porosity and drainage. The organic material is composted at temperatures up to 55°C to help eliminate most weeds, weed seeds, and pathogens.

The high organic content improves soil fertility, supports healthy plant growth, enhances soil structure, and helps retain moisture while maintaining good drainage. It is ideal for new garden beds, trees, shrubs, perennials, and vegetables, and can also be used for low-traffic lawns and lawn topdressing.

HOW TO USE

Garden Beds

Remove existing turf, weeds, and debris, then lightly loosen the subsoil. Apply 12–20 inches of material and rake to create the desired grade and contours.

When planting, use a general-purpose starter fertilizer suitable for plants to support healthy root development. Once planting is complete, finish the bed with a layer of compost or bark mulch to help retain moisture, suppress weeds, and protect the soil.

Light-Traffic Lawns

Remove weeds and debris from the area, then apply 4–8 inches of material. Rough-grade the soil, roll the surface to settle the material, and finish by raking and grading to achieve the desired level and contour.

Apply a phosphorus-rich turf starter fertilizer to support healthy root development, then install seed or turf. Roll the area after installation to ensure good contact between the seed or turf and the soil. Keep the area moist, but not saturated, until the grass has rooted or the seed has germinated.

Lawn Topdressing

Core-aerate the lawn to relieve compaction. Spread a ½-inch layer over the lawn, or ¼ inch if the lawn has not been aerated. The material can be gently worked into the grass using the back of a rake.

If overseeding, spread the seed after topdressing to prevent it from being buried too deeply. Apply a phosphorus-rich fertilizer to promote healthy root development. Keep the soil moist, but not saturated, until the seed has germinated.
